My shift link cable broke and Logan was awesome. He was able to get my Trailblazer towed to the shop and they got it replaced and took apart my middle console and had to clean up all the years of gunk and crud that had built up along the automatic shifter area. The bill was a little more than I expected but they were great about helping me get financing and had me back on the road in two days. I would suggest anyone looking for a good friendly shop definitely use Gary's. They are very easy to get to, they are right next to the McDonald's on Columbia and MLK in Portland. These folks have helped me out on multiple occasions and I cannot recommend them strongly enough. I feel incredibly lucky that I live so close to such a trustworthy family-owned shop. It is so hard to find an auto shop where people know what they're doing, and can be trusted to fixing things right the first time, or tell you that they can't. Pricing is always more than fair. Every time I have left that place I have felt like they aren't charging enough. They're friendly and polite on the phone and in person (unusual in my experience). And they happen to be only a mile from my house, so I can drop off and walk home, walk over and drive home. It is the auto shop of my dreams.

I have used Gary’s for several years for all my cars and will not go any place else. They are knowledgeable, caring and reasonably priced. After dealing with a number of disappointing shops a family member referred me to Gary’s and I am so grateful.
