OUR BEGINNINGS

The history of Gary’s Auto Care & Tire Factory began more than 25 years ago when Gary owned two Union 76 gas stations. Wanting to relocate, Gary moved his family to the Portland area and became service manager for an auto body and automotive repair center. After several years, the company decided to transition out of providing automotive repair. This led to Gary’s decision to purchase that side of the business, renaming it Gary’s Auto Care & Tire Factory.

For more than a decade, Gary’s Auto Care & Tire Factory provided automotive and tire services to a wide range of customers in the Northeast Portland area. In 2006, Gary expanded his services to include Southeast Portland by purchasing Charlie Bretz Tire Factory & Auto Care and, most recently, Team Towing, a full service towing company.
